It Happened Again: Sony Marketing Reveals Closing Scene Of “Spider-Man: Far From Home”

Remember when the trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 revealed the attack against the Rhino, which would be the final shot of the movie?

Or that time the Venom trailer showed the “turd in the wind” exchange, which would also be the final scene of that movie?

Or that other time Sony decided to release a Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse clip showing the movie’s final monologue sequence?

Well, it happened again. Far From Home is no exception to this odd pattern found in Sony’s marketing of Spider-Man movies.

If you don’t want any spoilers for the movie, please stop reading right now.

After all the events of Spider-Man: Far From Home, Peter Parker and MJ return to New York City. Together, they swing around Midtown Manhattan right before we cut to credits.

The film does come with two post-credit scenes as well. The one in the ad is the last non-post-credit scene.

The ad, currently running on social media platforms such as twitter and facebook, shows footage from that exact scene.

Although none of these instances are heavy spoilers, it is a rather obscure pattern that others have previously poked fun at.

Spider-Man: Far From Home was produced by Marvel Studios and is being distributed by Sony. It opens in theaters nationwide on July 2nd.
